As the three-year transition for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 moves into its final year, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) passed a resolution that as of 15th March 2018, all certification bodies must conduct all ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits to the new 2015 versions of the standard.
World Certification Services (WCS) is accredited by UKAS and ANAB and they are signatories of the IAF. Therefor WCS is required to adhere to this IAF resolution.
This update is intended to communicate the fact that any ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 audit completed after the 15th March 2018 will be to the new versions.
Many clients have already completed the transition but please be aware if you have not started the transition process then it is in your best interest to act as soon as possible.
Note that failure to achieve certification to the 2015 standard by the deadline (14th September 2018) means that your certification is no longer valid and this may affect your ability to supply to markets, lose contracts and lead to increased costs for reapplying for certification.
WCS is required to add additional audit time to review any changes to management systems so please keep WCS informed of your plans for transition in order for WCS to manage its resources accordingly.
The WCS office and your assessor will contact you to discuss your next audit approximately two months before it is due.
If you have any questions or require further information don’t hesitate to contact WCS.
If you wish to learn more about the changes to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 then contact WCS immediately. WCS can provide a gap analysis at competitive day rates, transition training, and a free summary of the changes document.
