WCS currently offer ISO 50001 certification outside of its UKAS accreditation. This allows WCS to be more flexible in its approach and costs will be more competitive as we do not need to take into account high accreditation fees.
The ISO 50001 certification scheme follows the requirements within ISO 17021-1 and you can be assured that WCS will only use competent approved auditors.
What is ISO 50001?
ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.
ISO 50001:2011 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:

- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
